Contact us with any queries or comments about the outrigger clavicle fracture brace.

Clavicle (collar bone) fracture is one of the most common fracture injuries worldwide. If the bone is broken, chest muscles tend to pull the distal/outer part in, forwards, and down; this is exacerbated by the weight of the arm.
An arm sling can support some weight, but even this has a tendency to pull the arm inwards. If the shoulder can be retracted, pulled back, the fracture position may be better. In the past, people have tried to use a figure-8 strap to pull the shoulder back, but these straps exert tension medially/inwards and cannot help when the clavicle is broken. In recent years, surgery is often implemented although there are costs, risks, and other disadvantages.
With the right conditions, this bone commonly heals well. The outrigger clavicle fracture brace retracts the shoulder without any medial/inwards forces, and it supports the weight of the arm a little. The fracture position may be improved, and the patient may get early light-use of the affected arm. The brace can be combined with a sling if required.
